Just got back in the air after the weekend. All player stats… gone again. Log book shows 0. Total airframe hours also reset to 0.
I ONLY fly the C208B. Have not switched on Dev Mode since 8/1.
Anyone else having this issue?

Yes i had this a couple of weeks ago. Problem is still not solved, they said it was fixed in a Q&A.

…lol and they’re introducing competitive play with this new air race feature. can’t even keep simple stats. this is like watching a train smash in slow motion.

There needs to be a way for the USER to back up that data, so if anything happens when it is in use, or being transferred between MS Servers and the User, there is a way for the user to restore a backup copy form their local storage.

I guess you could go in to the files in find your save.
Copy it.
Then paste a copy of the copy when it should be if the data is wiped.
Dont know if this is against any rules tho.
Not that easy, especailly with non-steam …
If you backup %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs it should backup most data (including your controller profiles)
To my knowledge, your logbook is also in there.
Wow. Yet another workaround that requires me to modify game files to work correctly…

I would agree with that … but then it becomes an an issue of starting MSFS so it does not overwite that restored data, connecting, and then closing MSFS so it writes back to the servers… HIT & MISS>
It would be so better if the method of backup & restore was programmed into MSFS, so you did not have to try to FOOL the server.

happened to me too…I’m back up to 10hrs now tough

Yup, you’re not alone here.
First my 200 hours were gone, and today my ‘new’ 100 hours turned back to zero … steam version … it’s a shame

For those hit by this, did any of you try disabling your online features under General/Data?
And this issue is just another reason MSFS-2020 is OFF my system for next 6 months. Just too many issues with it. But miss the nice graphics and being able to move around cockpit seeing everything, thoes are not enough fluff to make me put it back on though. Have fun.
