Steam Family Sharing

I unfortunately bought MSFS 2020 on a second Steam account. So now I’m trying to run it in Family Sharing mode, but it doesn’t work. It’s currently stuck on “Installation Manager” and “Checking for Updates”. It first gives me an error “Connection Lost - Please ensure you have an active Internet connection…” and then it says “This XBox live account is already used with another Steam account”

Is it possible to share MSFS 2020 with Steam with myself? If so, how could I do this?

Why can’t you just use the Steam account that you bought it under?

I can but it’s a pain to switch accounts (and I made a long password for security reasons).

Sounds like you know the solution you just don’t like it. Use a password locker to save those “long passwords” and easily switch between the two accounts. Alternatively you can try and contact Steam and see if they can consolidate those two accounts. What is the reason you have two Steam accounts? Never mind, I don’t really want to know. Good luck.

Not sure if this is the right thread but I have a similar question. I purchased the 40th anniversary version of flight sim and want to share it with my father on steam. I’ve granted him access / added him as a family member and it appears in his library. But similar to above, he gets the same error message as OakProduct89260 - installation manager, checking for updates, xbox live account already in use.

Will having him create an xbox account solve the problem or does MS insist that the he purchase the license?

Thanks

I have same problem.
I have shared my Steam account to my family.
I bought the game in my Steam account and my family play it first.
When I want to play it, I found that my Steam account cannot play it although we use the same XBOX account.
It seem to be linked to the first login Steam account. How can I re-link it?
