Steam game recording not recording engine sounds

Is anybody else having issues recording in-game footage using the Steam game recording feature? I’ve made a couple of videos now and on both occasions, there’s no engine noise in playback. Either in first or third-person views. I posted on the Steam forums twice and got no responses. I opened a Steam support ticket and got a brush off response and the ticket abruptly closed.

So here is my last throw of the dice at getting any types of response or explanation for it.

Yep, incredibly frustrating.

Any known fix?

It’s a Steam issue. I found turning off the HVEC codec in game recording options helped and “record all system audio” was selected.

I’ve resorted to using OBS streaming software to record flights for now. Steam game recorder is pretty kak. Recording all system audio sometimes isn’t an option due to other unwanted sounds.
