Any way to migrate MSFS license from Steam to Microsoft Store? The Steam version takes 45 seconds longer to run, and adds an extra step when reinstalling. I bought the Steam version because I thought the entire simulator would be downloaded from Steam servers, which, on average, are faster and more stable. But for the first time, this is not the case. From Steam, it’s just 1GB of executables and files; the other 90GB comes from Microsoft. Also, I think that Steam version might be participating in part of the bugs that occur in Flight Simulator.
It’s the same for the Microsoft Store. Only 1GB is from the Store, the rest is downloaded by the simulator itself.

Funny you mention it OP, I got mine in the MS store and I want to migrate it to steam just so my friends can see I’m online and what I’m playing in the steam friends menu. I don’t think it makes a difference bug wise, since with either version you only get a shell which downloads the game internally.
The install process for this game is a dumpster fire. I hope it’s their #1 priority, so many people are having issues with it and it’s critical to the game. I’m one of the lucky ones who only had to restart 4 times to get it fully installed. Sheesh.
