Steam version vs microsoft version

Hi,
I bought FS via steam. Now I found out that there is no real link to the microsoft account. This is specifically weird because a ms account is required to play

  • You get steam achievements instead of ms achievements. Would be great if you get both or you could decide.That what I experienced myself
  • No XBOX crossplay. I learned that it will be not possible to play on the xbox with a steam FS version.
    Maybe this was stated somewhere, but I was not aware of.

Are there any plans to change that ?

So If I got the steam version I would not be able to use my xbox controllers?

@DTH55 That’s not what he said, he said no ability to crossplay (so play on XBOX Console and PC with the same game serial / license). If you can connect your XBOX controller to your pc (which is possible for most if not all versions), you can use it as an input device for MSFS.

Thank you for clearing this up for me @Ircghost9965 I was not sure what he did say.

Its not even about crossplay. I believe crossplay is at least possible between MS and Steam owners. Possibly also with XBOX.
My point is about: Achievements and especially not being able to play on xbox as a PC steam customer

i purchased both and seem to prefer the Microsoft store version over steam. Steam takes too many resources alone just being open and updating things in the background. I prefer the store version and I can shut steam down entirely which is nice.
