I fly the Cirrus SR22 most of the time. Been frustrated that the ground handling isn’t realistic. The SR22 has a castering nosewheel IRL, so using the rudder pedals to steer on the ground is not effective unless you’re moving fast enough to get airflow over the tail. I played with the flight_model file, no luck getting it right. I discovered the DA40 works pretty realistically, so I compared the flight_model files. There is an entry for steering_time_constants in the DA40 but not in the SR22, so I added it, now I have a fairly realistic ground handling in the Cirrus. I can’t fine ANY documentation of the parameter. Thanks for any info you can provide.
