Stop blame asobo if you have stutters or crashes

I play this game every day (on steam ) since the release and i have 0 crashes and 0 stutters, except some frame drops which is acceptable, its not Asobos fault if you have a toaster :Specs i5 9600K 32 GB RAM RTX 2060 6GB, and i play on high-ultra

While I agree with you to some degree, I don’t think this post helps the people who may encounter CTDs. And some stutters/CTDs may relate to core optimization, network usage, etc. that should be part of Asobo’s deliverable.

The best way is to lend some help to those folks and share past experience. As far as I can tell, overclocking is the number 1 cause of CTDs. MSFS is much more sensitive to overclocks even than Prime95 …

IDK, I see lots of o/c (including mine) running fine. I bet it’s more down to cheap borderline-quality components that pack up under heavy loads. :small_airplane: :smiley_cat:

Most users put their settings way to high and expect the pc to run MSFS smooth, like on a console.

I think those people will be disappointed on console, too, unless the console version has the settings pre-set and locked down.

Same I have my CPU and GPU overclocked, its about having a stable overclock and not pushing it to far.

On all past consoles you have never had the ability to change graphics setting usually just brightness and contrast controls.

Console… we’re gonna need a lot of popcorn

I predict the forum will become unusable after that.

" Stop blame asobo if you have stutters or crashes"

Who do you propose blaming?

Oh so we are all doing things wrong because we don’t know how to work our computers! All these bugs are simply figments of our imagination! Wow thanks so much for putting things strait for the record!

Sounds like Asobos default aircraft are almost better quality than PMDG study level! (Once we all learn to work our PC’s properly like you do)

There was me thinking that MSFS had a few bugs !

Always great to see experts like you educating the masses and putting us straight!

Thank you!

Ah, the forum trolls are back, :â– â– â– â– :ing on every thread.

Everyone has a different perception of stutters and a different opinion of what is smooth and what is not etc. But let’s all agree this is another useless thread.

I think a lot of the issues are with AMD users and AMD graphics cards. FSX hated AMD graphics cards and would screw up the graphics etc but I think Lockheed fixed those issues with P3D and Steam addressed them with the FSX:SE.

That being said a few pointers for people having issues.

  • Make sure your video card drivers are up to date
  • Use the start up tab on your task bar to disable any apps running in the background you do not need unless you run them.
  • If you run into crashes remove addons you might have added and put them back in one at a time as it might be an addon using Simconnect incorrectly or something else.
  • Lastly post your issues calmly in the support forums here and on avsim and flightsim.com. I have been in this hobby since 1995 and the community is always willing to help as long as your posts are polite, calm and detailed.

Granted there are many bugs with MSFS. Hopefully they will be address with updates soon enough. I have been enjoying it but still use my P3D v5 from time to time until the sim is right where I want it to be.

I have a 9600KF and RX5700 i play on ultra with some options in high, i play since the release, i only had a couple of crashes when using ATC just before landing. I must say that since last patch that has some bugs overall performance are really good. Hope Tuesday they will fix some issues but some people may have hardware stutter issues like i had before moving from my “old” i5-7600 to i5-9600KF with the same GPU. Notice that i only changed the Cpu and Mobo, same gpu, same Ram without reinstalling windows 10 and MSFS 2020.

Who is to blame for selling a simulator that REALLY doesn’t work. Funny subject …

Yet thousands of people are flying. So, don’t lie to people. :small_airplane: :smiley_cat:

This is totally wrong. The simulator is full of bugs. Don’t play ostrich. It is pathetic. Now I’m sure it will work out. But your post is totally useless. We are patient.

I am going to close this thread as it falls outside the scope of the Code of Conduct guidelines for posts, which as defined is to discuss and give feedback on MSFS i.e. the game.

All MSFS feedback is encouraged in the many relevant threads on the forum. Furthermore, as others have alluded to, there are specific threads discussing issues and workarounds in the appropriate forum categories and specific comments to the relevant issue should be made in such threads.

Onwards and upwards.
