But I’d love to know why some, me included, are having a really good experience while others are obviously experiencing enormous problems. Is it my hardware? I have an i7 12700 KF at 3.61 ghz.and an RTX 4070ti (16 gb). Nothing out of the ordinary there and I have read horror stories from some with higher end gear than mine. Can it be my geographical region (Australia) which allows me to enjoy the simulator while others around the world cannot? Is it because I waited two days before downloading the game and had a quick and smooth experience? Who TF knows. But I’d like to know and so would many others.

I have the same CPU as you and a 4080 GPU (16Gb), but I’m in the US. I also have a Gigabit Fiber line that consistently runs 800-900 range with Speedtest.

What I’m seeing is slow download speeds. The Ortho loads VERY sloooooooow. Using Task Manager Performance function I can see the data being dribbled out in small bursts followed by long pauses where there’s no data transmitted.

So, it seems to me that they are throttling the data in some places and not in others. I posted screen shots here:

I’m posting this Sunday morning (EST) the 24th. The main issue I’m having now is lack of ground textures. I’m not seeing them anywhere. Just a massive blur. I have 1Gbps fiber service and speed tests show 800 to 900 consistently. I’m monitoring my internet traffic using Task Manager Performance screen and I’m only getting data in short bursts 95% of the time with an occasional blip at higher speeds. Kinda strange, I see some folks that aren’t having this problem… wondering if it’s somethin…

I’m curious how yours looks during initial load or a time when data transfer is heavy.
