When i went into ms store to download the update i only had the option to start the sim instead of the usual upfate msfs2020 notification. I selected the start the sim option and the game loaded up then updated on the update part of the load up process but it soon was on 5 gig uploaded on the notification bar on the bottom of the screen so the total download was 7 gig instead of the official 12 gig it seemed to miss the 5 gig of the update i do have the latest build showing.
Anybody else have the sane issues and offer any advice ?
Similar thing happened to me, the update bar suddenly increased by 4Gb just after starting the download. The update seems to be working for me, so I presumed the update had miscalculated somehow or I already had some of the files on my computer so these were skipped.
However, I’d be interested if there are any other suggestions, just in case I didn’t receive the full download.
It is a pity this topic has been moved to an out-of-the-way site. It now does not come up in the “latest” community posts, and cannot really be seen unless someone does an appropriate search for this precise problem.
The question is topical - it refers specifically to the most recent update, and it was asking if others had the same experience. A “no” answer would be as valuable as a “yes”. The people the post was aimed at will now never see this post, and it has effectively been killed off.
I appreciate that community managers/moderators are trying to keep the forum tidy, but you should also respect the intention of the OP.
Normally your post would have been flagged for Moderation Discussion, but in the interests of responding, it’s staying up for transparency.
This thread will always come up to Latest or New views just like any other post unless the reader Muted this Category (which hardly any do). There is a mistaken belief that somehow General Discussion is a Uber visible category. All categories will appear in Latest or New unless the reader takes specific steps to suppress them.
Search will also return this post regardless of category unless the reader specifies “in:” parameters to only look at a specific category. Again, hardly anyone does or even knows the commands unless they look up how to for this specific board software.
So there is no deliberate attempt or accidental effect to make this post suppressed or less noticeable. Thanks!
Interesting points fella, ive just reset my cloud saving save and upon loading the sim again ive a 9 gig install for su10 with 4 further screens to work through wether theyll be further updates i dont know but in all homesty ive had problems unreated to this su10 in the past going back to su5 hoping ill have everything fixed.
