I don’t know how this happened, but about a month ago i installed Nvidia Driver 457.30. Now today i opened the Nvidia control panel to make some adjustments and found that at some point unknown to me, the driver self updated to 457.51. Has anybody else experienced this?
Also, is 457.51 as good or better than 457.30?
It happened to me as well.I don’t know how but I’am sure because it repeated twice. Kind regards.
Windows Update also updates drivers (at least the minor version updates) if you don’t disable it.
Just try the most recent driver from nvidia and if you don’t have any issues, use it.
Windows 10 Automatically updates device drivers by default so the changes could have been made because of this. This behaviour can be changed - search for
‘disable windows 10 driver updates’ and the information is there.
Thanks everybody. At least I know I’m sane now. I hear everybody on here saying that 457.30 is the best driver for the sim and wanted to try it out. But, I will try out 457.51 instead now. If it isn’t what I want I will try the latest driver.
Does everybody here use DDU in safe mode for driver changes?
