Strange Perspective from Wing Views (Longitude)

I’m sure this is something I have done, but in creating my left and right wing views, the perspective from the wings is way different than the pilot views. See the attached photos. I’m at KBUR and outside of my window, I have a Southwest jet about three gates away. You can easily recognize that it’s a Southwest jet, no problem. Now if you look at the wing view, you can barely see the jet at all – it appears to be way off in the distance.

I like the larger view that looking out over the wings give me, but the distance is skewed so much that when I use it at airports, it doesn’t work well. Can anyone assist with this? Thanks.

Have you checked your Graphics settings and turn on the Lens Correction?

You may be using a different Outside/Drone view at a different zoom level.

I believe W and S keys on the keyboard will change the zoom level, if that’s the case.

If anyone stumbles upon this and has the same question, this is what I did to solve it. In the cameras.cfg file, each camera view has an InitialZoom setting. For my pilot view, the InitialZoom was set to 0.322604 but my wing view settings were different (I didn’t save them so I don’t have it anywhere). Anyway, I set the InitialZoom setting to this:

InitialZoom=0.322604

to match my pilot view, and now the perspective is the same.

NOTE: If you’re going to try changing these values, please back up your cameras.cfg file in case it doesn’t work the way you want. You can also just remark out the original value so it will be there if you need to revert back (like this)

;InitialXyz= 1.236662, 0.429848, 7.962185
InitialXyz= 1.236662, 0.429848, 20.962185

Best of luck.
