I have the standard Stream Deck, bought it today and am very happy with it.
Trying to set up the Flight Director turn on and off and the Yaw Damper on and off but, can’t seen to get it right.,
Any help would be much appreciated.
I will be setting up other generic buttons as well.
is it best to use generic buttons or hot keys?
Thanks in advance.
I am using Hotkeys. Works ok, although when I press and hold it (for longer) sometimes starts acting a bit weird. For instance when pressing to increase Alt from 5000 to 18000 I need to perhaps press and old 2-3 times and increasing 3-4000 each times. Otherwise it gets stuck and starts to increase rapidly (almost looks like it’s changing from 100s increments to 1000s. But I can live with that. It’s better than using the mouse and dialing on the cockpit dashboard.
There is also a Streamdeck plugin https://flightsim.to/file/3178/flight-tracker-streamdeck-plugin that you might want to check out.
I just set up these exact functions today on my new XL. It took seconds to do using the system hotkey switch, which let’s you input both the on and off state. So. Just by copying the keyboard shortcut into the switch, it all works brilliantly. Only just landed from a proving flight in the C208, but everything went well.
Thanks to those who responded. Think I have it worked out now.
The only other thing is i need the png file to show switch on/off. Any help there appreciated
That Hotkey switch that I referred to has a built in indicator of sorts, showing state 0 (off) and state 1 (think you guessed it…) It certainly passes for an interim solution, but Icon modification and creation could be a whole new thread methinks.
Got which button you are talking about John. Will give that one a go.
Cheers mate
