PC - UK - First time MSFS customer. Download stuck twice both times at 97% for two hours. Will try again maybe tomorrow.
I tried exactly this this morning, still no luck twice since. I think itās just random frankly.
Gone past 97% and even past customize identity ! BUT clicked on who I shoul d have as a pilot ,clicked continue and ā¦ CDT !
Now amd trying again and am stuck at customize Id. :((((
yeah i did a test ā¦ shutting off and restartingā¦ no good stuck again on 98%
I fixed the issue of being stuck at 97% by navigating to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\ and deleting the localprofile file. I at least got into menu. Still when trying to fly I still get circle of doom however it might be worth a try for other users? make a backup of the file first just in case!
Still 97% for me - restarted afew times as well

Wanted to try things outā¦ still stuck at 97% ā¦ really MS shut this useless project downā¦ give the people their money back and use the technology from 2024 to make a big update for 2020.

In the morning i got to the menu at leastā¦ i guess now the servers are too ābusyā to let people get past 97%

I am also stuck in 97% when trying to load it. I have rebooted the PC but it did not make any difference. What is the solution?
Been on 98% for the past two and a half hours. Over 24 hours since launch and still this absolute farce. Iāll give it one more day then Iāll be after a refund. May or may not pick it up again in six months when it might possibly just be working.
Being as itās a new sim, the only advice I can offer for you to try is to uninstall and start over.
I would remove any folders left over as well.
Itās luck, not a solution unfortunately. I gave up yesterday after 4 hours of installation at 97%, I restarted at 1 p.m., ditto I also deleted the files, even 100% deleted the simu, itās the same. In any case in France and RP. Itās frankly a shame to launch a product in these conditions especially for those who paid the maximum price. Worse for those who are waiting for a physical version and who also have delivery problems.
The solution is to play 2020 while this mess keeps going on. MS and Asobos stupid wet dreams of a cloud based game has crashed hard and exploded in million pieces.

On the other hand, the millions collected were not crashed or lost in the cloud!

Yeah easy cash grabā¦ at least their 20 test PCs had no problems with the gameā¦ and now poor MS encountered āunexpectedā server overloadā¦ cant hear that Bullcrap any more.

Still stuck at 97% today. Still an ongoing issue? Thought they said it was resolved

Well, I actually got past that activation screen, only to get stuck on customize identity. However, after a restart, Iām now getting constantly stuck at 98%.
Not good.
WIll it save my progress if restart stuck at 97%
Has anyone actually found that Report-loading.tomlā¦ file, that is allegedly being written in response to the long load time?
Maybe that is what theyāre trying to write to the cloud and the massive amount of space it is taking up is grinding them to a halt?
