Not sure but will give it a go as Im sick of the 98% every day for the past week.

I tried this but it just didn’t work for me. I was hoping it did. Any other way to access the game?

Did you try the empty folder workaround?

Sorry to hear that and I know how frustrating this is. It has worked for many of us.

Check in the Community folder to see if there are a whole load of empty directories created with the names of your previous addons. If no then try the procedure again as something went wrong. If yes then it’s entirely possible there’s other root causes of the stuck at 97% problem that we don’t know about yet.

Pinned message with the link, please?

I’ll pass it on to the CM’s!

As others have found, it’s the 2020 content in the community folder that seems to be problematic. 2024 worked from the get-go for me with an empty community folder, worked fine with one 2020 plane was brought in, then stalled at 97% when a different plane was added. Necessary to check community items one by one.

Doesn’t work for xbox :unamused:

I followed your instructions but nothing. I have no items in my community folder. It’s definitely the add-ons because on the first night of installation, I was doing fine.

An option to disable 2020 purchased content would be a godsend! Right now it’s almost essential for Xbox and would make PC players’ life a lot easier too

It’s not addons in your community folder.
It’s addons you purchased from the Marketplace in FS2020.
For each one of them, put an empty folder with the exact same name in your FS2024 Community folder, and try the sim.

If you follow the procedure successfully then before you start the 2024 community folder should be empty, if it is not then delete everything in there.

After the procedure the 2024 community folder should contain a bunch of empty folders with the names of your addons. This is purely to disable the streamed marketplace content ported over from 2020.

If your 2024 community folder is still empty then the procedure was not followed exactly, so try again.

Or you can look in the streaming folder and manually make empty directories in the community folder with the same names, but that will take more time.

Hello, it works, is no complicated.

OK after 98% for two days solid, tried the fix and it did work - THANK YOU
now to sort out all the other problems LOL

Flytampa Corfu Island and Airport together with several Bredok3D products are the main 97% troublemaker.

Is there a complete list sonewhere with all incompatible addons?

Thank you for this tip, I fixed it, after 5 days I can go in🙏

I will try this. Thank you. Even though I tried it before with a .bat file. I will try it out. Does it have to be exact name and where can I get the names from?

Yes it does have to be exact.
I would think going through the MSFS2020 OneStore folder.

Put new folders with same names of those that you see in there that you know you purchased.

OR

Copy all the folders of those that you know you purchased.
Paste them in Fs2024 Community.
Empty all the folders in FS2024 community that you just put in & start the sim.
