And what’s also stupid is that there are larger airports that offer basic flight training. I know for a fact it exists in real life at some of the airports the sim won’t let you start at.

Def agree on the lack of documentation (even if its just a pop-up on the landing page along the lines of
Career Mode starts you at a smaller non-towered airport to help you acclimate to the fundamentals of flight within a controlled environment. As your skill-set evolves so will your availability of airports

Here in Southern New England, you have a flight school at KPVD, KSFZ, KUUU and KEWB (KEWB hosts Bridgewater State Universities’ Aviation Program)
KPVD is a C, KEWB is a D, and the rest are untowered
There is a bit of bias; when the devs are mentioning that KPVD is a “large international airport”, I don’t think of KPVD as a “large international airport”. Rather I use the metric of KBOS (having simultaneous landings on intersecting runways, 6 runway alignments, etc). KPVD only has two physical runways (historically 4; taxiway V was 5L/23R, and N was 10/28). A busy day at KPVD would just have me on a ~10 mile final for some regionals
It doesn`t matter because except your PPL you accept missions around the world and not depart from base everytime, i hope they change it at a time, that every mission is from your base except you transfer to another airport.
