Have you got the store version , if so I had success downloading the store bit first then launching MSFS, it could just be volume of traffic

Got past that screen, it then goes to load but gets stuck

I had the same, (steam version if it matters). after waiting 15 mins and no action, i closed down and restarted Steam, this time it’s started.

My guess is extremely heavy server load, so probably just a case of being patient.

yep i have updated the store version .

I tried a few times before the update started, might be best to wait a bit, its a 40gb update and pretty slow I’m 2gb in after 15 mins

stuck at “take the pilot seat” cannot arrive to menus… its just stuck.. cant access the sim..
here we go again…

^^This. In my attempts to get the patch I’ve started the game multiple times now. Sometimes it loads at relatively normal speed. Sometimes it gets stuck for a while on the “Checking…” screen. Other times the loading bar freezes for minutes on end. But eventually the sim does start.

The server load is massive right now guys. This was always going to happen. While I know new patches are exciting, we may well be better off waiting until tomorrow when the initial rush is over.

Same here on the XSX, I restarted twice to no avail. The first time I did get a notification saying services were offline at the moment, but checked my own connection but everything seems fine.

As I was typing this something happened! Time to earn those wings, boys and girls :pilot:t3::airplane_departure:

I got told my xbox account was already in use… from my pc… I had better put here yes CTD first time, then xbox account in use 2nd try…

I figure it is the usual. Just like it has been from launch.
