I’ve noticed that Checking for Updates has been much slower since the MSFS2024 debacle. I suspect they’ve pinched the server resources and used them for 2024.

No - because you can’t get into the 2024 servers, either. Seems they turned off the 2020 servers trying to make the 2024 servers seem better.

Now I’m bored - waiting for the playoffs to start. 
On the installation manger screen it finally showed there was an update, size undisclosed… I never clicked install then after about a minute the installation manger screen just simply transitioned to this screen:
and then about a minute or so on this screen MSFS just closes… again…
I give up for now, day is gone and diner needs cooked!

If they really did that though, this would be the end for the MSFS series. There are alternatives like P3D and X-Plane. Surely they aren’t turning off MSFS 2020 to boost MSFS 2024?

Having the same issue in Germany right now. How long did it “check for updates” before it got there?

I have been able to get to the main menu twice, both times, CTD within 10 seconds.
time to go about my day. MSFS is cooked.
