Stuck on Loading Missions

After completing the first mission, the loading is stuck after accepting the second one.

I tried 4 different missions on “First Flight” and had the same result on everyone. infinity loading and nothing happens.

Same problem here. First Training and the first license worked. But now with my first „First Flight“-mission I am stuck in the 2nd loading-screen. The hangar with the plane I can see but when I go on it is in an endless loading-loop.
Restarting the game 5 or 6 times didn‘t work. I also deactivated live weather, multiplayer and all these online-things. Didn’t help anything. Trying it since 11 am.
I don‘t get it why such a big company with such a big franchise is prepared so bad for the start of a new game. Maybe the game-pass-users should get access 1 or 2 weeks after the users who bought the game…

Same identical problem for me. First mission ok, arriving at the second mission, stuck at the loading.

Same here, I cannot load the first Flightseeing Mission (Venice). Stays loading forever but nothing happens. Other missions seem to load fine however.

Same
I restarted my Career and same thing after 1 successful Mission

Same for me. I unlocked my first “Sightseeing mission” and have to take it to progress… But on the second loading screen, once the flight is supposed to start… nothing happens. Endless loading.
I also can’t go back… I have to shutdown the sim via taskmanager.
After rebooting, entering the mission again… stime thing: Stuck with endless loading.
(PC, Steam)

I also restarted my career, again no problems until I get to the first flightseeing mission but when I try to load it I just get the spinning circle indefinitely

I was having the same issue. I loaded a mission in career mode, then the map will zoom in and I would get stuck loading just before the mission details appear. I tried restarting the sim multiple times without any luck. I finally got it working again by disabling and re-enabling “Air-Traffic in career” and “Live Weather” under General > Online options. I’m enjoying Career Mode, but it definitely needs some fixing. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion, but didn’t make any difference in my case anyway! Still the same problem.

Sorry to hear that. I spent most of last night trying to complete one cargo mission or any mission but I got stuck loading the map. I changed these settings this morning after experiencing the same issue and got it working.

All the experience of this game depends on how lucky you are to get a good server slot in with was never properly tested before.

I just figured it out - I had an addon from Aerosoft installed for the same airport in Venice in FS2020, and I didn’t realise that all those addons secretly migrated to FS2024 behind the scenes, even the ones I didn’t buy in the Marketplace which is very odd! I found a post on here about how to disable these streamed addons until the Marketplace opens and allows us to do it “officially”. After I did this, the mission loaded without a hitch. If you are having problems with a mission loading, check the mission’s airport and then check that there isn’t an addon airport from FS2020 being streamed in from the cloud.

Thank you so very much for sharing this. It worked for me.

My Procedure:

  1. Start the MSFS 2024

  2. delete the folder

  1. Delete the rolling cache (set new size, or choose another location - as you wish)

  2. Start the Venice photo mission

5.) Enjoy

NOTE: The MSFS 2024 must be started and running during the deletion process, otherwise it will stream the file again at startup.

Same here, this has happened twice on first flight, and my first time trying a Ferry flight, stuck in infinite loading screen.

That DID the trick for me! Dunno if it is both, live traffic and live weather but enabeling them got me out of the permaloading loop (makes sense, if it is waiting for the input of the live systems but they are disabled by the user… beta testing would have helped, too…)

Thank You, had to turn them back on to get them to load. Appreciate it. I guess I’ll find out IF I can turn them back off, doubt it

Many thanks was driving me crazy!

Resetting my online configuration to default worked for me on Xbox series X
