Hi everyone, it becomes a habit to come here after every new update to try to find a way to fly again!
After installing the SU5, the game kept on crashing back to the desktop or just getting stuck forever. So I waited for another update with the hope it would solve these issues. But how naive of me…
Now, this last mandatory update came. Had troubles to find a way to download it at first. Had to reinstall the Xbox App on my laptop (Alienware R17). Finally installed it AND… the game keeps getting stuck on the loading screen. Waited 30minutes yesterday, tried many times, repaired and did reset both Xbox App and Microsoft store as I read somewhere it could solve the issue but nothing changed.
Anyone having the same issue or knowing of a way to finally being able to play MFS2020?
Indeed, I am using multiple drives. So the issue may be here. However, I have no idea how to check these. Could you help me out and tell me how to do it please?
Location depends on whether you’re on the Steam or Store version but first you must enable yourself to view hidden files. Once you have done that the store version can usually be found in C:\Users\Your username\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache
However you may have a different drive letter depending on your set up. If you used Steam it has a different path so use the search function.
Also check that all of your drives are using the necessary NTFS file system (this PC, right click, properties. exFAT is no longer supported (and actually never was)
Thanks. Everything is fine on that side. However, after clearing the Community folder, could launch the game. The problem happened to be the Fly by wire A320 Neo. Any idea why?
If you mean the store version it needs an update as do many of their aircraft. Unfortunately MS can’t just go to the developer’s site and swap the software as they need to check the code for compatibility and security reasons and then encrypt it all. Also they are mad busy right now trying to get the sim stable but it’s comparatively close IMO so I expect 3rd party product updates will soon be more frequent… Unfortunately that might not include the FBW Neo but we will have to see.
It just sits there and will not load and I cannot get back to the main menue either have to shut it down completely I have never been able to launch this aircraft or fly it This sim is becoming more and more frustrating to the point of whats the use it using it
