Today I’ve really noticed terrible stuttering. Happens when flying low level, every few minutes. Never seen this before, haven’t changed anything in my settings. Flying in Iceland on west Europe servers. Anyone else experiencing this?
The last time I had low altitude stutters, I deleted my rolling cache and it was clean after. Worth a try.
Thanks for the reply. I don’t use rolling cache so it can’t be that unfortunately.
One thing I’ve noticed today is I’m getting regular ‘server error’ messages when trying to access these forums. Not sure if this is connected to the stuttering issue. Anyone else having trouble getting onto these forums?
Yes. Most likely related to high server utilization as a result of the update rollout.
Thanks. Do you think this could be causing the stuttering issue I mentioned? Guessing lots of people downloading the update at once could stress the servers.
Were you using Ivao Altitude while flying? I had also stutters for the first time, but after closing Altitude they were gone.
I am pretty sure that the download servers are completely different servers than the ones („Azure“) serving FS2020 content
I’ve gotten these quite a bit recently also. Today I had one that lasted about 30 seconds as I was at the 100 foot level that I thought for sure was going to be a CTD. Over the last few months I have had more stuttering while on the ground, but only the 1/2 second variety.
A lot of people have historically had problems on “update day”, but in the past they were CTDs. Now that MSAsobo claims to have “fixed” these, it could be that they have been replaced with extreme stutters. That could account for the threads about more stuttering at airports and at low altitude.
It’s just a guess of course, but without any replies from MSAsobo, that’s all we have to go on.
I don’t use altitude but thanks for the tip.
Ok thanks, can’t be that then. I recently downloaded Orbx Iceland mesh so I wonder if that could be the culprit. I heard some people had issues with their NZ version
I’ve only noticed these small sstutters after the recent update. It is most likely something in the update that was not in the public beta. Not using rolling cache so I don’t think that is an issue, unless it needs to be turned on now.
Yes but funnily enough I started noticing them just before the update went live.
It’s strange because they only seem to happen at low altitude and particularly whilst turning. And they are pretty major stutters, not something you can ignore. They happen every 2-3 minutes and it become a slide show for 15-20 seconds before correcting itself. When checking FPS it seems to be an issue with main processor thread rather than GPU. Never had this issue before. Changing graphics settings doesn’t seem to improve it either
Was already on the beta so the update was very small for me. I definitely hadn’t noticed it before the update though. Had been working on a few new liveries so had been doing a lot of short flights at low level, checking for livery issues.
Problem seems to be much worse flying in Iceland than round my home airport in Scotland. Had over 40 second where frames dropped to 6fps at one point circling an airport in central Iceland. Maybe there is an issue with Iceland scenery
It’s not orbx mesh as I’ve deleted it and the problem continues. I’ve tested other areas and so far it seems to be unique to Iceland. Can some else test for me? Choose any airstrip in central Iceland and fly low for five minutes or so turning in slow circles and see if you get dramatic slow down. Dips from 38 fps to 6fps.
Have you tried with your community folder empty?
Are you using any external sim aps?

Hi,
Last update well done yesterday !
But ALL my bushtrips became at 0%, before they were at 100% ???
And you ?
Ok thanks can you try flying low around BISV Skalavatn airfield?
