Yep I have experienced the exact same issue last weekend. I can start a normal flight and after 5-20 mins I get sound stuttering issues which last for about 20 secs. It will disappear, only to appear again a few mins later.

During the audio stutters the FPS is also severely affected, dropping down to beeing unplayable.

If you are not using this actively try disabling this device in your hardware manager and test again. NV HD Audio drivers tend to mess up the experience quite often.

Already deactivated them. No change.

I and many other people had this issue and it stopped when we downgraded to Windows 11 23H2 from 24H2.

I’m seeing this issue also. Have a new RTX 4080 Super running latest drivers plus a Pimax Crystal Light so need to have my NVIDIA HD active.

FYI guys, If you have Nvidia driver 572.x , revert back to 556.x and this issue should go away.

This is an Nvidia driver issue and not an SU1 beta issue. There are many other reports of this type of performance issue in many other games with 572.x drivers.

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• I haven’t experienced any audio stuttering during free VFR flights with the Cessna 172, nor during longer IFR flights—such as yesterday’s KSEA-KLAX. I haven’t noticed any audio stuttering.

• Even when stationary, cold and dark, just panning in VR in certain directions will bring this on. South can be perfectly smooth and trouble free and a glance to the east will bring on the audio and video stutters. in developer mode, I see that my main thread usage doubles when this happens.

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

But that would mean losing DLSS4 :frowning:

No, you can always use the Swapper and NV profile Inspector.

Actually it doesn’t solve it. Trying it since two hours. Stutters are still there.

I tried a flight in MSFS2020 yesterday, and that was utterly smooth without any sound stutters. If it would be the driver, then I should also encounter it in 2020.

For me, it is a 2024 problem. Difficult to tell if SU1 has worsened it.

I can confirm that it is a 2024 (beta and non beta) only problem. 2020 is working perfectly fine with the latest driver.

I noticed the same. Theres a very long thread on this forum about the sound stuttering too. Definitlely a 2024 issue/bug.
