What is your VRAM consumption like? About a week ago, my VRAM consumption almost doubled. I had to reinstall Windows and the sim. BTW, don’t use the cloud install for Windows. I used the USB media installer utility.

yes im definitely strangely close to redlining vram on pretty low settings even. its really frustrating i was ok a few days ago. im surprised im the only one that has this issue. but i dont know if doing everything you did is what i feel like right now haha.

Whenever you change GPU drivers you should also clear the nvidia caches or you will likely see stutters as the caches get rebuilt. There are freeware apps on flightsim.to that make easy to click a button and clear the caches (there are a few in a few different directories). Try MSFS Toolbox or search for an app that is used to clear msfs 2024 caches.

UPDATEL: i managed to get somewhat of a fix by capping fps to 69. weirdly enough thats the sweet spot. i indeed cleared all the caches. reinstalled msfs. and bombarded my pc with troubleshooting. but for now i only get my old perfromance somewhat back by capping fps.

FYI, if you uninstalled your GPU driver using DDU and had the option checked to also remove monitors drivers, Windows might default your display to 60Hz instead of its actual max (like 144Hz, 165Hz, etc.) after reinstalling the driver. I’d recommend checking in Settings > System > Display > Advanced display and making sure your monitor or TV is set to its maximum supported refresh rate.
