SU11 and Copilot

I am concerned that the Copilot needs to go back for further flight training since SU11. If I utilize the world map for preparing a flight plan and then put it in Copilot mode, the copilot flys into mountains or flys too low. Also, when the copilot is told that it is cleared to land, it goes in the opposition direction for a great distance before it turns around and sets up for the landing pattern only to fly over the airport….?

Am I the only one experiencing this?

I always assumed the co-pilot mode was mostly just for sightseeing or temporarily not having to do anything, rather than an end-to-end automation for flights. It never seemed to work for full navigation or landing on my end.
