SU13 Broke My MSFS - Error Code 0x80070005

I’ve followed all the steps recommended by Zendesk and microsoft. answers except I will not reinstall Win10 as suggested. Not for an update I didn’t want. I’ve reset the MS Store Installer, updated MS Store and reset it. I predicted I was not going to be happy with MS/Asobo today… and my prediction has come true.

Atleast now it hurts less…

i have exactly the same problem, and tried all available options I could find apart from Windows reinstallation (Resetting or repairing windows store, reinstalling gaming service, sfc and dism in various options updating windows including optional updates, resetting windows update, manual cleaning if xbox store and so on)

Meanwhile XBOX App still shows an available upate, that failes with the above error, windows store does not even show this as available update.

Starting MSFS always crashes at slighly different times. Windows Eventlog just reports a crash in flightimulator.exe but tell two different versionnumbers 1.34.16.0 (the new version), name of faulty packae refers to 1.33.8.0

I found that one of the two gaming services failed to stop, it just hung on stopping. With one stopped and the other stopping I rebooted computer and then XBox App finally worked to kick off the update. Not sure what the real problem was, I went through a lot of troubleshooting and stopping/removing/starting things in the command console. Total time resolving my issue was about four hours and I’m not a computer newbie.

It’s too much too expect an error code that actually helps the troubleshooting. Nah, that’s too much.
