Inibuilds A320Neo V2, FBW A32NX

Brief description of the issue:

I am so disappointed and no matter which service update is installed, whether with 3rd party addos or without, I have regular CTDs. I have 3 flights today, 2x with the Inibuilds A320Neo V2 and once with the FBW A32NX, and have been affected by a CDT on all flights. With the Inibuild I didn’t even get close to the runway, with the FBW A32NX I was at least able to taxi to the gate, but when I pressed APU Master I was finished, the picture was gone and all I could see on my monitor was the desktop. Crashed 3 times without an error message.

I am also annoyed by the ATC. On all 3 flights, ATC gave me the wrong instructions and completely missed my TODs. I did not receive a landing clearance for all 3 flights, I was much too high anyway. Asobo only talks about improvements, after each installed the core problems are still the same. I am so frusted and massively disappointed. In my case, I don’t feel any reduction in CTDs or any improvement in ATC errors. I’m now putting my equipment back in the corner and avoiding the MSFS until further notice. I wonder even more what a beta test team is used for, it seems to be completely absent for VR. My systems, GPU drivers and anything else is on current state with all latest updates installed.

Lost 6 hours today and could have used it more sensibly. Many thanks Asobo.

I have been working support on the Microsoft side since the launch of MSFS and while there were crashes in the first ~6 months post launch that were due to the coding, the one that you are currently experiencing is most likely not related to anything that Asobo has done wrong. There does need to be a bit of personal accountability, and best practices do need to be applied. You cannot blame every crash on the developer.

Crashes that occur while in flight are almost always caused by conflicts with third party software or add on mods. These are especially prevalent directly after a sim update when the actual software is changed and older mods or software are no longer 100% compatible with MSFS. It could also be overclocking / process management software, etc., but those types of crashes usually manifest themself upon sim launch. On your side, start by removing add on mods and see if that helps. Then move on to uninstalling third party software and if needed, do a clean install of MSFS.

thanks for the infos and it’s clear for me, that 3rd party addons are a risk. but unfortunenately, i only have the fbw a32nx and fsltl traffic installed in my community folder. the rest is bought and installed via msfs store and therefore i await hinestly, that full compatibility is given without any issues. then i would also like to inform you, that i never and will never overclock my system. i build my system together with the hardware that gives me the required performance out of the box. i also like to mention, that msfs is the only app which crashes on my system.

maybe you have seen my other current thread regarding missing legacy mode for cockpit interaction, i only have classic and lock available in my settings. that’s why i plan reinstalling msfs from scratch. i only don’t know currently what i loose with a reinstall. are my graphic-, sound- and the whole msfs-config backed up in the cloud? Also my controller configurations or do i have to reassign everything again after a reinstall? i guess that all my installed airports and addons have to be reinstalled too when making a msfs -reinstall from scratch?

would be really grateful to get detailed information from you because i guess you are the right guy. many thanks for your kind support.

Are your crashes occurring mainly in VR? If so, you may need to just dial down your graphic settings. VR software is yet another process running on the PC and settings that work fine in 2D may be too high for VR - particularly with a 4K output.

I doubt that this is something that will be resolved by a sim update. Try uninstalling the FBW software and MSFS, then reinstall both. This will often be enough to resolve any problems.

Go to Options > General Options > Accessibility > Cockpit Interaction mode. Legacy and Lock should be the only two options here. Legacy is the same thing as classic.

Your keymappings, settings, and logbook information is stored in the cloud. If you ever uninstall, this information should auto populate after the reinstall is complete. You will need to manually reinstall any purchased DLC. You can do this via Content Manager within the main MSFS menu.
