Since SU2 Beta update nothing but crashes.
Warning GFX crash, lowered settings several times. Several aircraft and places in free flight are concerned. Today 3 GFX crashes, 2 sim crash to desktop, 1 PC crash! What can i do?
i7-14700/64Gb / NVA 4070S12Gb.
Yes for me today 4 crash to desktop… Too
Barely crashes with SU 1 beta
Yes, crash when I load a flight. With an empty community folder it does not crash, but I can’t load a flight.
I am trying to load in the Fenix A320 - CTD every time, waiting game I guess
Have you checked their discord? They had a solution, not sure if it works or not. Seems like it may not be working for some people. It seems to be texture related issue and it causes many 3rd party quality planes to cause CTDs (AIG and FSLTL included).
I get CTD every time since I updated to SU2 beta. Everything works fine in the menus and loading into a plane. CTD always seems to happen after interacting with a switch in the cockpit or clicking on the toolbar. It’s different every time. I have yet to get far enough to actually take flight.
Anybody uninstalled FSLTL yet? Did it work?
Have a look in the Application event log for the crash logs, and post the contents here. They should be event ID 1000 events if memory serves.
Yes, for me uninstalling FSLTL solved the CTD’s. I have not had any CTD since I moved the FSLTL models out of the community folder.
I still have some 3rd party airports and Navigraph plugins installed. They are not causing any issues so far.
I’m not getting a CTD, but after clicking on the yellow “Start Flight” block, I get a spinning circle that completely hangs the sim after a few seconds. Spinning circle stops spinning, sim completely locks up, can’t even use Alt-F4 to kill it; I have to use Task Manager to end the task.
This is with an empty Community folder, in both Free Flight and Career. Noticed it first with the CJ4 but also happens with the C172 G1000. Different airports as well (small, default airports).
Most likely the current CTDs aren’t related to FSLTL or FNX - Check Effect textures without mip maps cause a CTD when loading a flight in SU2 - Aircraft - MSFS DevSupport
Latest: GFX Texture from medium to low does help. No crash sofar.
Can i turnup other gfx values again?
That’s an Nvidia driver issue. There is no doubt something in SU2 that doesn’t play nicely with that driver version.
I have that file, but it causes me no issues in SU2. I would try switching to 566.14, which is what I have installed.
You can get that from here:

I would recommend a “clean” install, which means it will remove any Nvidia game profiles you have created, amongst other things.
If you really want you can go the whole hog, use the DDU app, which will strip away all non-Microsoft video drivers before you do a reinstall. Some users swear by it, I never use it.

Let me know how you get on.
Just out of interest, what were you flying at the time, or rather trying to?
In various topics on the forum, I’ve mentioned Nvidia driver version 566.14 as one of the last stable ones and I’m glad to see that you share the same opinion.

thank you!
Clean install 566.14 with only first 2 options worked very well.
High texture resolution is working again.
How can i make sure a new nvidia driver is not automatically installed?
Thanks for the help!
You may get a pop-up from time to time, just don’t allow it to upgrade. I don’t remember ever having an auto upgrade for any of my machines.
The options in the Nvidia app don’t even allow for that, only auto-download.
For what it’s worth, I have an AMD video card, so Nvidia drivers are not the sole source of CTDs.
I never said they were. What do you see in the Application event log?
