SU3 Beta Discussion Thread

I just had a 3.6 GB update. Anyone else getting that? What is that for?

Same here but I don’t find any changelog

If you are in the Beta, likely the SU3 Beta build! About to push all the release notes, etc.

On a Friday night before clocking off for the weekend, what could go wrong :joy:

I had this update and now the sim crashes to desktop at 87% every time.

Great…

As far as I can see, the runway and taxiway lights are fixed. I’m satisfied.

I just updated with 3.5 GB… I tried the simulator and it’s much worse than before the update… we’re going from disaster to disaster… incredible!

What I’ve noticed so far:

  • Improved VR fluidity
  • G-Forces are back in challenges
  • We’re back to a split environment for challenges and career, like in the SU2 beta
  • Restarting a challenge in VR still doesn’t show the HUD
  • Depth of field in VR has been changed: the field of view seems wider and menus appear farther away

Opt out while you still can.

Enjoy SU2 semi stably over the weekend and look at this next week. It breaks a lot of stuff.

Same here and this is before and during loading EVERY TIME and it is happening with or without the beta - i do have latest Nvidia driver 576.40 for last 4 days and no problems with good and complete flight EGPH-EGKK. Rig is i13-9 with 64G RAM, Win 11

Care to elaborate? in my case SU2 kills my FPS when I land at large airports with an airliner. So no enjoyment to be had there.
I’m a glutton for punishment so I’m diving on in to SU3 beta.

Working well for me so far with about an hour of flying.
Anyone know what the target circle icon is to the right of the ATC icon in the toolbar, not seen that one before. Doesn’t do anything if I click it?

I like how they have brought the max frame rate limit switch into the graphics options. No more tweaking config.ini files now. 60Hz/30FPS cap and 2x FSR here I come.
