I just read an announcement from IndiaFoxTecho regarding compatibility in the upcoming SU5. This May be something other 3rd party aircraft designers need to be aware of.
Are any other existing releases going to be in trouble with this?

I think a lot of 3rd party addons will need to update their aircraft for SU5.
However, some may not need to!

Agreed. But reading the post by IndiaFoxTecho, this might be more drastic. Their T-45 will need significant re-work as the update has broken their HUD.
Here’s what he said. “T-45C GOSHAWK: BAD NEWS: while most of the aircraft works in SUV, the HUD does not - basically making the plane unflyable from the cockpit. We are working on a quick fix creating a HTML5-based HUD which will work as a temporary solution - it will have limited functionality, but at least the plane will be flyable. Unfortunately, this problem affects also the development of the M-346 and the F-35, which will suffer significant delays.”
If other designers use legacy XML code, and do not have the ability/knowledge/resources to quickly re-write it, there may be some aircraft broken for a while. My purpose in my post was to alert other third party developers to this possibility, and to encourage them to prepare their customers if they sense upcoming problems.
