SU6 Beta 1.8.5.0 Surveys

For some reason, the engine heat blur outside the windows of the stock TBM930 have returned for me. Those went away for me during one of the previous betas (maybe even a SU4 beta), although other folks were still reporting they were seeing it. Now it’s back for me.
I haven’t seen anyone else reporting this so far, so not sure why it reverted for me.
Regards

:100: !! Imagine if Asobo would treat the latest sharp&crisp (beta)PSVR 2 version with that juicy PSSR sauce on top of it, just like that other sole PSVR 2 game which currently exploits it, NMS running on a Pro..:drooling_face:The sky is the limit!(see what i did there? Lol)

Today I found that stutters are not gone everywhere – they still exist in the LA area. Fly from KRAL.

Todays flight was to a place called French Valley (F70 I think it was). Ive also had stutters at KAJO (I think it was). but KRAL always has issues. the issues I was having at KMOD seem to have cleared.

Also, an old bug related to autopilot activation/ deactivation has come back but I will reluctantly delete my entire profile and start over to make sure. Luckily, my controls are not complicated.

Had to leave this beta re stutters- worse than usual. All my usual tricks did not get the stutters under control. Flying fenix, KBUR, KSAN, KLAX, 5090, 64 ram, 13900k fast internet. Reverted back and now I have an experience that’s not perfect but allows me to enjoy flying.

Huge FPS drop at KJFK.
I have not had that in previous FS24 Builds.
Stutters are also back, once they were nearly gone.
Scnenery is very poor.
What happened in SU6?

You forgot to mention your CPU, GPU and RAM.

Performance is not quite as good as I was seeing in the prior version (beta - never ran after retail). Challenge league is a bit hosed - progress notations during rally/low altitude are missing; last week’s rally kept resetting (didn’t have time to collect info and raise a bug report). For low altitude (and much else) still can’t see maps when in VR mode (fine if exit VR and then go back) - this first occurred during the last set of betas and I did file a report.

All that said, a bit better than prior first beta releases - but no where nears as stable as RTM.

I won’t be writing about the bugs that have already been reported by other users, so I won’t mention the LOD degradation, blurry textures, or the stuttering that occurs when changing or rotating the camera.

Instead, I want to point out one positive aspect of this update. After selecting a departure airport on the World Map, the airport textures and the surrounding terrain now seem to load faster before clicking “Start flight”.

Unfortunately, this is the only noticeable improvement I have found in this update.

well, there are other good things imo… I like the new airport lighting and it doesnt make airports overly visible in the distance as I feared. I also love the new ‘start without outside preflight’ but I have yet to check to make sure the walkaround still works as it did.

and I really thought the whole sim performed much better but then there was an AIRAC update followed by an addon module support update and now I have stutters everywhere again.

I really like the little adjustment to the clock on the main screen.
It now says “11:08 UTC+2 | 09:08 UTC” instead of “11:08 | 09:08 UTC”. This makes it clear which time zone is displayed, since the clock sticks to a time zone even if the globe is rotated to a different continent.

…and the PSVR2 resolution+performance improvements are mindblowing!

just got back from a trip and installed the latest beta. But I was not able to start a flight, as after a while the sim stops responding (complete freeze) while in the cockpit.

After restarting, it froze again and then CTD when trying to enter departure for free flight.

Unplayable for me.

On a different note: the VR Graphic settings are not available. Where before the customisation was expandable to set it up, there is no such option and i can not change any options other than the DLSS, Foveated rendering or Dynamic settings.
