Yeah that behavior you are seeing sounds nice compared to what I get. Thanks a lot for looking into this.
I have to go and do some work for awhile but I’ll look into this more later. Thanks again!

Well what do ya know?!
That seems to do the trick. I bound the “Free View” to the F Key and press it when in cockpit and sure enough it goes away!
Thanks so much man!
Where is the “free view” command in the control options? I could not find it.
Thanks
The workaround I am using does not involve using the keyboard, which I like. I have tried most other workarounds and they don’t fit my play-style. For example I like to move the pilot position freely around the cockpit and cabin (ever tried “walking” around inside the Caravan with the autopilot on?). I think I may have already tried the workaround you mention, but I will try again thanks.
Try searching for the word “free” on the left.
Yeah, that equals to pressing the mouse central button. It activates mouse freelook and prevents you to operate any cockpit button / dial with the mouse. Not really a solution.
Was there no “free view” option? Did you try searching for “free” on the left? Make sure you’re searching through ALL commands instead of just ASSIGNED or ESSENTIAL for example.
Yes, these are the commands I have. Below these commands, nothing relevant and even containing “free” in the name.
I already have Toggle Cockpit View Freelook (Hold) bound to controller LB. (I have to hold LB in order to move the pilot position around inside the cockpit with the joystick, and this is how I want it.)
I could be wrong but I can not see how the F workaround could possibly fit my play-style, if it is based upon freelook.
The white arrow is indeed annoying.
Earlier I found the following solution on this forum and it works! After a major update, the arrow is back. I also applied the following solution yesterday and this solution works again.
Exit FS2020. Make sure FS2020 is not turned on.
Go to the following folder:
C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore\fs-base-ui-pages\html_ui\Pages\ToolBar
Open with notepad the file: ToolBar.css
Look at the image below what you need to adjust.
It’s simple to do.
Thank you but the white toolbar arrow is not the issue being discussed in this topic. Perhaps you could use your skills to remove the white dot instead? It’s a white dot that appears in the center of the screen (like a crosshair would) and it is related to Xbox controller interaction with cockpit controls.
Okay. I don’t see any other white thing when I move my cockpit camera. Maybe my description about the white arrow at the top of the screen will help someone else. It is also an annoying thing if you briefly touch the screen with your mouse, for example if you want to take a screenshot.
Can you show a screenshot of the white dot? Unfortunately I don’t use an Xbox controller but I can look at it if I know exactly what it’s about.
Screenshots can’t possibly show just how annoying this thing is, but here is one. Imagine a white circle crosshair in the center of your screen every time you move the cockpit camera. It fades away after a couple seconds if I don’t move the camera, but I’m moving the camera all the time.

Okay the picture makes it clear. If such a dot keeps going through the screen. It’s to drive you crazy. Have you ever tried to present this phenomenon to Zendesk? They then look at it and often come up with a solution quickly.
You can request technical support from Zendesk. https://flightsimulator.zendesk.com/hc/en-us
They helped me quickly when I had a problem. You have to fill in all the details of your PC, Windows version, etc. Then they will look at it and advise you further.
See the picture. You have to click on te "submit a Request"link om top of the page
I wish. This problem has been reported by many PC users ever since the Xbox release. For now I can only use workarounds. Thanks for your help.
Zendesk is Microsoft’s FS2020 help desk.
I would just give a try.
Ok thanks. Asobo/MS fixed my white borders issue so I suspect they will get to this eventually.
Get rid of the white dot. I use the Xbox controller w/ Keyboard and mouse and it’s annoying.
