Just started the sim and wondered why it looked so bad, so went in the settings and they were somewhere around low, whereas I have them on ultra or high, something messed up there
Happened to me when I installed and ran Nvidea GeForce Experience and the latest drivers. It “optimised” the sim and turned everything down even though I was running everything in ultra apart from trees and grass at a steady 40fps before the “optimisation”. I quickly uninstalled it and rolled back the drivers!
I also had the sim set all graphics to Low. At first I thought it was a bandwidth issue with the Internet connection. Once I realized that it was set to low, I changed it back to High. It has stayed on High since but the graphics settings will be the first place I look if it get the same situation happen again.
Probably Geforce Experience overwriting your graphics settings with its very pessimistic ones, I had the same thing happen. You can change its performance/quality slider for the game to try to get better ones or just try not to let it automatically optimize all games.
I had this after a sim crash to desktop…
The sim decided I needed lower settings, I guess…
Ah thx 4 hint with GeForce experience, I opened it up before sim start indeed, but I didn’t do anything, Lul. Thx again, so Problem solved
