Suddenly a drastic and noticeable improvement in fps ...not even sure why

I had not used the sim over the last 3 days.
I noticed a windows update and an NVIDIA driver(511.79) update which I applied.
It is like a new sim now, but I don’t know what caused the improvement exactly. I can fly in dense cities with car traffic and air traffic(100%), and also turn up several other settings another notch or 2. One thing I noticed is that my computer seems to be working a lot harder. The cooling fans are really cranking, and I don’t remember the last time it “warmed” up the room where my sim is, but that seems to be occurring again…funny.

I had downloaded a mod for Tucson airport a couple weeks ago which strained my system so badly I removed it. After this mystery bump in performance I put it back and it is smooth like butter now…crazy.

…strange surprise, but awesome.
I was just wondering if anybody else had the same improvement recently.
I have never had anything like this occur with any sim over the last couple decades. It is always such a futile science project to squeeze performance and frame rates, and to suddenly have it improve so drastically without any direct tinkering from me is baffling… but I will take it for sure…lol.

So hard to know for sure without further info, like a comparison of Dev Mode statistics before and after.

But the last NVIDIA drivers did cause problems for many, so it is likely as simple as replacing the old with the new, and getting back at least what was lost.

And we also got a recent System Update which might play extra well with the new drivers.

But who knows?

This sim… it is so reliant on streaming, CPU, and GPU, it can quite literally have its good days and bad days. You might have just had an extra good online connection this session… or any number of other variables.

When it works, it can’t be beat, so enjoy the days when everything just clicks. And know that might not be the case every day, but I really hope you get smooth flying from here on out.
