Suggestions for a gaming laptop to at least match Xbox Series S performance

I am seeking some suggestions for a gaming laptop that can match the performance of MSFS on the Xbox Series S, my current platform. I’ve never owned a gaming PC before, and realise that a high end gaming laptop would be needed, I want something that can play ideally with ultra graphic settings, cloud density etc, with an acceptable frame rate.

I realise that would require something in the market of £2,000.

I have looked into assembling my own PC, but this isn’t practical at the moment as I am on the move a lot and need something compatible with that.

I saw an article about Rami Ismail who flew from Montreal to Amsterdam while on

I have been looking at a ASUS ROG Zephyrus 15.6in R9 16GB 1TB RTX3080, but am technologically illiterate and any input would be appreciated, thank you.

Does it have to be a laptop? Squeezing performance into a small form factor is problematic. This has also always been true of consoles to some degree but it’s especially true of laptops.

The same performance as a console will also be possible at a more reasonable cost if you go for a desktop build.

I have always found that my gaming laptops get hotter and suffer thermal throttling when compared to my desktop builds.
