Airport surfaces are elevated sometimes causing a crash

Addon or stock airports?
Did you try with the community folder empty?

Stock airport. KORD.
No I did not.

That would be my first suggestion.
Just rename the folder and MSFS will make a new one.
It does look like what you get with a conflict.

Yea thanks for suggestion. It was probably a one-off network issue.
