As far as I remember Asobo pledged to improve weather model. The did fix major problems, yet it is not complete . Currently surface wind s are significantly reduced comparing with either real life reporting or in game ATIS. And we are talking about not small margin of error here. Often winds or off reported strength 50% or more. For example,18 kts wind reported by ATIS become 7-6 kts or sometimes 3 kts.
It’s pity the wind issue is marked as resolved on Asobo list . Please vote it up and let finish with fixing weather once and for all. We need to addressing wind problem half way is not a complete solution
As I’ve been a real world pilot for almost two decades and flight instructor for many years. Weather is most immersive factor and reason why every flight is never the same! Asobo, I plead for you to finish weather improvements!
Thank you!

I think the issue here is winds are a bit too strong when set to accurate levels, so instead of tossing everyone around in light gusts, they err of the side of little to no wind for now.
In my case I often have winds 15-20kts higher then what is actually occurring at surface level. Usually the winds I’m getting are for at least 3000ft above the surface or more.
I agree. I believe accurate weather is extremely important. I don’t understand why the issue is not even mentioned any more in the top bugs (except for lightning), when in reality it is one of the most voted items.

Not the same as in game ATIS? Since the latest update ATIS lists visibility 3 and several layers of clouds the same in every announcement regardless of what weather is displayed, including clear skies and visibility of 10+ when I use real weather.

Yes in MSFS ATIS has discrepancy between wind reported and actual wind observed at airport
