Switch mapping

I’m sure this is out there somewhere but I can’t seem to find it or not sure how to word it to find it. Is there a way to see when a switch or button in game is turned on or off what it’s actually doing to be able to map it to a switch panel I’m building. Most stuff I can figure out normally but a few I can’t. Also know there is still some stuff that they haven’t let us be able to map. Any info would be great. Thanks.

I use a program called SPAD.next. There is a free 14 day trial. Highly recommend.

I have that already just not sure what to do to be able to check what the in game switches are doing.

Go to the + section in SPAD, then click on Data (top right). You will have to chose the general area what you think the switch does. Example, you click on the right engine start button. You should select tasks in the list (MSFS,SIMCONNECT,LVARS) that deal with engine or fuel supply. Once you run the query you can flip the switch and the sim command should pop up in the bottom window. This sounds way more confusing than it actually is. A great resource is SPAD’s discord.
