I can’t speak for specific monitors. I have used 4K Dell, Viewsonic, Philips, Sony and Acer at physical sizes 15" to 32". If you have nVidia, try setting display scaling to GPU instead of monitor (it won’t affect performance and may improve quality.) nVidia also has ‘integer’ scaling, which will precisely convert 4K to 1080p without any smoothing effect.
