Switching to VR splits screen into two smaller (mirrored) screens, but no image goes to the headset (just sound)

Hello, posting as I’m still trying to find a solution

I have an HP Reverb 1000 (I understand is not G1 or G2) that’s fully working in the Windows Mixed Reality Portal.

When I switch to VR while having my headset already on, I can see some luminosity but nothing else. Yet, the music from the sim will sound through the headset.

I’ve gone through many posts trying to find the solution and tried many things (such as disabling HDR) but still no luck.

Try this:

WMR Portal
Settings (bottom left)
Headsetanzeige (in german, left 3rd under Mixed Reality)
Optionen für das Benutzererlebnis (again in german, maybe “options for user experience”…)
klick on change there, then try to set refresh rate from automatik to something else, here 60Hz and 90Hz where posible).

That solved this issue here. Good luck.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I tried with different settings (60Hz, 90Hz) but still no luck.
