Take off lack of power

Just a sharing a dense moment…
Thought I’d check out a short field Alaska quickly before leaving to work this morning.

Flying a 172 .
Advance throttle and note extremely slow speed increase, put flaps up completely with ittle improvement.
Finally hit 50kts as I’m still on bouncing rear tires and plow into trees.
Now thinking what did i mess with last night and screw up…?
Repeat once more with same results..
Then spend all day searching for answers..get home and try again…same same…

Use outside view and note the 172 is actually a Baron and using 1 engine throttle on my throttle Quad as I normally would do for a single..

Shhh, let’s keep this one between you and me🙄

Good one
As a general rule of thumb, you should reach 2/3 of the VRot (or rotation speed) at the middle of the runway length. So if you VRot is 50Kt then you should reach around 35Kt by the middle of the runway. If you do not, then you abort your take off.

That’s in real life, in the Sim, you can always restart

The other benefit of real life is you wouldn’t get in to that Baron thinking you were in a Cessna.
