I’ve been exploring around the island state of Tasmania yesterday- a location famed for its rugged mountain scenery off the southern coast of mainland Australia.
Departing Hobart late afternoon with real world weather conditions, the idea was to check out the scenery from above. With a cloud layer around 3000 - 6000 feet, at first I levelled off underneath it, then attempted to pop up through it, and eventually dived back through it scud run my way to the coast. Once I cleared the central mountains, conditions improved and I was able to enjoy all the golden colours of the sunset along the northern coast and on my arrival into Launceston.
