pitching up to maintain speed

i’m at 38 because i was at cruise over Vegas giving folks a tour. only need 38 to maintain a nice speed at that low altitude.
UPDATE: eventually fixed it. i kept cycling the AP master switch on and off while manually trying to fight it with trim input. i cycled different vertical settings, with eventually using VS mode to force it to pitch down. after that it worked. strange
