Hello!
My TBM-930, always starts (parked at the ramp, not runway) with the Battery ON and the 3xG3000 displays on.
When I try to turn the Battery switch off, or lower the CRASH BAR, it does not allow me to do that.
I have seen a number of YouTube tutorials on starting the TBM-930, where the aircraft is truly cold and dark.
How do I get to that state to start?
Thank you!
Roberto
Make sure you have AI co-pilot (not autopilot) turned off.
If it is turned on (and sometimes it does by default) your plane will be running on the ramp and you won’t be able to make engine adjustments etc.
When you select the crash bar are you just clicking it or are you holding the click while you move the mouse? You cant just click on the crash bar, you need to move it. But otherwise, i start the TBM on the ramp everytime i fly it with no issues. Just raise crash bar. Turn on battery and gen. Turn fuel pump to manual, ignition to on, then start engine. Set cabin pressure to auto. Park brake off. Off you go.
Thank you for the prompt reply!
It was totally my fault! and I feel pretty silly.
I just bought a Honeycomb yoke, and it has a BAT and ALT switch on it, and both were ON!
How embarrassing!
All’s well
Thanks again!
