Bug: TBM 930 has pink barbie textures inside and out, with no addons / skins installed.
I deleted it manually and let MSFS re-download it, did steam file verification, and also
when I start the sim in SAFE mode, it does the same thing.
Is this a common issue now or what could be wrong?
9700K 64GB RAM and an Asus 4090, great temps all throughout
Latest Nvidia Drivers, no SU13 Beta
No rolling cache, deleted NVidia DX and GL cache before hand
Thats my troubleshooting so far.
I appreciate any help. Here are pictures, showing the problem:
Firstly, we would advise not using the Steam Verify Game File Integrity option, as this may cause issues with the packages you have installed for the simulator.
Are you able to uninstall the TBM 930 via the content manager, and then redownload it from the same place?
Hi Chewwy,
I did try that multiple times too. When I only select the TBM in content manager, it doesn’t show me the option to uninstall it, only when I select “something else” too. I did that twice, but it never actually uninstalls the TBM.
When I delete the TBM manually from the “official” folder and MSFS forces the installation of it at startup, it always seizes up at 100% and is stuck at decompressing. I then have to Alt+F4 the simulator, since it remains unresponsive - and then it works at startup, but the problem remains.
I can’t even explain how this happened since I never even installed additional liveries for the TBM.
Any other suggestions, except re-installing the sim?
Is this issue only with the TBM, or other base aircraft as well?
Another potential fix is to delete the fs-base folder, as well as fs-base-common-aircraft folder and letting the sim redownload those packages, as a user has reported this successfully worked for them.
If you don’t feel comfortable doing this, then I would say a reinstall is a safe option too.
I just did that and it didn’t help at all, unfortunately. I’m out of ideas.
Its really bugging me because I don’t even fly the 930 so much, but
I want my sim in a perfect state and thats a pain in the neck… A re-install will take
like 8 hours or so
