TBM no longer usable for VIP Charter in Career Mode

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
Career mode. Have a VIP Charter company and ran a Cessna. Yesterday (2/12/24) purchased an additional TBM930 as a second plane. Tried to run a mission and I could select the TBM and load the mission but when trying to start the engine ran into the issue with the plane loading with zero fuel and no way to add fuel. Ended the game for the evening. Today came back to try again (noting the suggested workaround of loading the TBM in freeflight and then it might work in career mode for that session). Loaded into freeflight then exited into career mode. I can no longer select the TBM for VIP Charter missions and even though the TBM is in my hanger it can’t now be insured (see screenshot). Seems like the TBM has been removed from usable planes for this type of mission.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

1.Load sim, enter free flight in the TBM to workaround the zero fuel bug
2.Go into career mode, select a VIP Charter mission, try to select the TBM, but not an option, will only allow the Cessna which is further away
3.Check TBM in company hanger (Manage Aircraft) and no insurance available (see image)

yup, I have the same error. I cant even sell plane, or I cant even sell other plane that I have in charter company…

I’ve been following multiple reports of this, especially when it comes to the TBM. I’m guna take a guess and say that they removed the TBM for now until the bugs are fixed. A huge issue for me was the pilot door opening shortly after takeoff (even with the door locked) and making me constantly crash and reset. It’s so disheartening to see so many bugs plaguing such a great platform. Hopefully these issues are fixed soon.

If I’m trying to find possible causes it could be because I don’t have the Charter Service - VIP specialisation yet, just the Charter Service - Private. But it let me buy it and now I can’t use it.. So it seems now that I’ve spent a CR$ 1m to buy the TBM; as from this morning you can no longer buy the TBM as a plane for the VIP Charter Service company, you can’t use the TBM, you can’t insure the TBM and you can’t even sell the TBM to get back the money that was ‘ground’ for to get out of that god awful Cessna that it gave you missions for that you needed to land in 25kt cross winds and got flipped on your roof while you taxied. This has honestly got to be one of the most frustrating products I’ve ever used, I want to love it but so, so much is just broken.

• Yes. When I go to manage aircraft and let’s say I try to do an Update Check up it looks like this (Picture bellow) and when I confirm this I get Unexpected error.

• I also noticed that you cannot change the flight crew on it or manage it in any way to be honest. Even if you wanna check for maintenance, wash, repaint or even move it , you just get “Unexpected error”. And the fact that you can’t even choose an insurance feels like the game does and doesn’t recognize that you even own it. FYI I 've never installed any addons. It started right after the latest 2/12/24 update where i had to re-install the game to just launch it.

Same error, tried clicking on its icon on the world map and no window opens (for all other aircraft a window opens with options to ‘manage aircraft’ etc.) Went to HQ and no insurance options were selected, attempting to do a maintenance ‘check-up’ of the aircraft heeded this error:

No VIP missions are showing up in the world map either (my only VIP aircraft is a TBM930).

@LouisianaRAPTER Highly disappointing. I stopped playing about a week ago because the TBM fuel issues were causing me such a headache. Now I’ve returned to find not only have the issues not been fixed, but they’ve potentially now fully removed the aircraft from career…

At least before we could sort-of fly it with a few awkward work-arounds. I also returned to a massive insurance bill despite my companies only generating 19k while I was gone. If the daily insurance bills continue to rack up even on days where you don’t even enter the sim, and there’s no way to cancel/suspend your insurance policy, then frankly I’m probably just going to give up on the career mode. Having your hard work get ruined by bugs and awful development decisions on every single playthrough is unbelievably demotivating…

I have the same problem after the update with the TBM and I bought another plane, a 172 G1000, and after two missions it also gives me the unexpected error.

Not sure they had finished the career field work they were doing when you got that error:

i ahve the exact same error on my TBM.
The issue happened yesterday after the patch update.

Also now i see on the Career - Specialization - Charter Service → no more TBM there as compatible aircraft.

Not sure if today’s fix has something to do with it or will fix this issue or even if the patch yersterday was with intention to remove this plane from career

No, because I don’t own the Daher TBM 930 and can’t buy it.
The Daher TBM 930 has disappeared from career mode.
The same goes for the Diamond DA62, which affects me in this case.

On Monday, December 2nd, 2024, everything was fine.
Even after the update came and I installed it.
After that, I still flew with the Diamond DA62.
But when I wanted to accept a new VIP charter order, it ended in an endless loading screen. I then simply stalled the MSFS 2024, there was no other choice.
On Tuesday, when I wanted to fly again, this problem was present from the start. The Diamond DA62 has disappeared from career mode and is now causing these problems. Just like the Daher TBM 930 has disappeared from career mode for others. It has also disappeared from career mode for me. I strongly suspect that this has something to do with the save game. I played the MSFS 2024 via cloud gaming and the problem was just as present there. Because my save game was being used. I suspect that none of those affected here have tried to reset their save game to see if the Daher TBM 930 is still gone. I have the same problem, who wants to throw away their saved game.

• Had the same issue with TBM so i bought dimond da62. After some charter missions, after one landing ground ATC chrashed so i skipped to the parking spot. However game lagged on loading screen so i ctrl ÷ f4 it. After next game launch, dimond is no longer available in any charter mission, just like TBM. What is more, the servis and sell price is set to 0 Cr now and dimont does not show in the shop.

I posted about this error here yesterday and have to say today that my Diamond DA62 is back!
I have no idea why or how long it will stay like this.
Perhaps cloud gaming via the Xbox Game Pass app on my smartphone helped. It didn’t work straight after, but maybe something changed overnight.
Because the problem doesn’t seem to have completely disappeared, the TBM 930 is still not available.

so I dont have DA62, but I was able to sell this plane after clicking many times, so now Im worried to buy anything, because even today may be “fix” …
