TCA Quadrant Airbus throttle with Cessna plane

Hi there, I’m new to MSFS and simming in general.
I’m trying to map the tutorial Cessna throttle to that of the Thrustmaster TCA airbus quadrant.
I disabled the cranks and the reverse thrust to make use of the full range, also changed the sensitivity profile in MSFS settings and made a linear profile.
The problem is that MSFS settings recognize the full range of the throttle, but the Cessna 172 only use about 20% of the range.
Is this a normal behavior and is it possible to fix please?

Hmm… It’s been a while, since i set up my throttles, but it might just be the throttle axis in game… i remember there were two options:

-Throttle Axis
-Throttle axis 0-100%…

you might want to try that second option to see if you can get the full range of motion done.

Hope it helps!

Kindest regards,

Steiny

In the settings (Throttle axis 0-100%) it does recognize the full range, but on the plane it only uses a small portion of the range around the middle.

Then use the other throttle axis. You need to create a separate profile for non-airbus aircrafts.

I think you might have done something wrong in the sensitivities.

Upon looking at my own settings for dual throttles, i’ve mapped throttle engine 1&4 to my right throttle and 2&3 to my left throttle. (Logitech G940 here)
And i’ve basically left the sensitivities alone (just -1% as i couldn’t get it to 0 again after expirimenting, lol)

Make sure when you map the throttles, map them individually (one by one) and make sure you start at the back position then move them forwards…

Here’s the screenshots of what should be displaying in the throttle assignment screen
and the sensitivity screen.

Hope it helps.

Closed throttle, is full bars in the sensitivity menu.
(and yes, in sensitivity i have 4 separate bars, as i’ve got Flaps and trim set on axis as well.)

If you Fly single engine, it shouldn’t matter if you’ve assigned dual engine controls… unless ofcourse, you’d like to use it to control the mixture.

Kindest regards,

Steiny

thank you so much, i was able to make use of the full range by toying with sensitivity parameters, here are mine for reference in case someone else encounter same problem.

Thank you so so so so so so much!

So great! This fixed all my settings with the TCA
Anyone know the best settings for the TBM930 throttle?

I too was struggling to get the TCS throttles configured over the full range without Reverse Thrust, for single/twin engine GA type aircraft. The settings provided by Steinways along with the 100% Neutral range worked for me too. :grinning:
