Hello to the community. Quite new to all this but finding it fascinating. I had decided to try AMD based machines for work and have repurposed one for MSFS. I’m luck to have what should be a powerful setup -
TRX40 Motherboard
Threadripper 3970X 32 core CPU
6900XT GPU
PCI e Gen 4 Firecuda
HP Reverb G2
Thinking I would get a lot of bang for this level of buck - but getting a lot of problems.
MSFS is through Steam.
Getting a regular motion freeze where the image locks in VR (very disorienting)
i.e. headset still registers motion of the head, but the image is locked to a fixed viewpoint.
Not really able to get many settings on Ultra or indeed high and holding most on Medium
I feel like I’m missing something - either the sequence of applications to open or if I would be better off ditching steam altogether.
Other than that - its fantastic…utterly fantastic. Its been 35 years since I played computer games. Brings a smile to the face.
