During my round the world attempt I ended up crashing just of the coast of Newfoundland. Flying the Piper PA28 I grossly miscalculated the needed fuel for the very strong headwind. Run out of fuel about 1 mile of the coast. I attempted to glide as best I could with the hope of reaching the coast but didn’t make it far enough. And to top it all off, once ditched in the ocean a shark came along and bite my head off. Needless to say, the RTW tour was abandoned.
