Temporary icing fix

Hello everyone,
Any simmer on msfs probably know this problem.
Can’t fly VFR in most cold conditions because of visual icing… I found a way to remove the icing effect until they make a fix (who knows when).

Now if you want to fly vfr in a cloud before the fix, just do these 3 steps.

go here

then here :

dont forget to save.

Then go here

set yourself a hot key for this

Dont forget to save.

So now.

Once in the game, press the hotkey and slide down the icing in DEvelopers mode .
The icing slider WILL scroll back up.

dont mind it, the windshield will stay clear.

For those who want to complain about the icing , there are some topics for that, here is about a solution only

I would not say ‘just’ download a mod. You need to find and add it to your community folder.
It’S a good thing to have multiple choices.
I like mine better as It takes me a second to use it once its set up.
And I dont add third party files into my computer for that.

Thank you! I like your option, I don’t like mods since they break the sim and they are always a pain to have, So I will try your fix

I guess it depends on the mod… I have like 50 mods in the community folder in this sim… and to be honest… the mods fixed a lot of issues coming from the vanilla… So the sim was broken and the mods are the one that fixed it.

But to each their own I suppose. I’m just giving an alternative for people who just wants to download and drag and drop into that folder to make it just works. I find tampering with the sim settings to have much more risk of breaking things than downloading a mod. Because when a mod breaks things, you can just remove it and it’ll turn back to normal. I can’t say the same for the other way.
