Hello,
I’m trying terraforming the terrain of a default airport.
I created terraforming with some rectangles and polygons. In some areas like coastlines, rectangles cannot be used to create the specific shape.
I did not created a new airport neither added or removed anything just terraforming it.
In dev mode it looks like OK.
Building the package and putting it in the community folder does not have the expected result.
It seems that polygons do not terraforming (I also tried putting polygons priority to 11 but no luck).
Rectangles are working fine.
Any idea about the polygons do not terraforming?
Thanks in advance!
Maybe you need to add the airport definition to the scene editor, so that the exported polygons get recognized? Otherwise maybe the game always overwrites the scene settings?
Have you tried adding the airport with ICAO code to the scene?
I tried with and without adding airport with the same ICAO.
In both cases the rectangles are working (terraforming runway slope, apron and taxiways).
The polygons to terraform the coastline are not working.
The lgik-terrain.xml has attributes about rectangles, altitude etc.
The shape.xml for polygons does not contain any attributes about the added polygons.
hmm. Not sure about this then.
Did you try to tick “airport area” on the polygon properties, maybe this fixes it? And maybe also raise the priority for the polygon object to at least 1.
I had 3 polygons. I tried defined the two of them as airports, one small the other unknown and left the third polygon unidentified.
Nothing changed. The package in the community folder still receives the default auto smoothing which is raising the sea (the mesh) above 0 altitude and ignoring the polygons.
Have you made polygons work? Were they near sea?
Yes I used some polygon to raise a hill , but it is a scenery project and not an airport. For my airport scene I only used rectangles to raise a street.
I can check the settings in my scene, maybe that helps ?
This is the hill loaded from the community folder
And here are the polygon settings. I only raised the priority to 2.
I submitted a ticket to zendesk about this issue.
After some investigation the support team added it to the bugs database, they reported back.
So it is a bug. Polygons in some cases are working and in some others not.
I hope it will be fixed soon.
