On their forums they say it’s exactly MSFS problem, something in regards to WASM and that they need Asobo to fix it. They are sending people posting there to post here to Asobo. But even if it is MSFS problem, since they know what is it, why don’t they work with Asobo to fix it instead of sending people here is beyond me… I don’t know, I just hope they figure it out.

It might be an MSFS problem if they are trying to use MSFS default terrain to drive a terrain display - similar to how the TAWS terrain in the default G1000/G5000 works. The problem is that is not the correct way to do it for an airliner if you are trying to develop an EGPWS emulation that looks (and acts) like the real thing. Both Fenix and FSLabs have a very realistic Airbus EGPWS display, and both are using a dedicated digital terrain database that is completely independent of the sim’s own default terrain. Likewise PMDG and IFly for their Boeing products, and Leonardo for their MD-80.
With more effort Ini might be able to leverage MSFS’s own terrain to display it on the ND, but it wouldn’t look right for an Airbus if it ended up like a Garmin TAWS display.

Pretty sure that was how iniBuilds implemented it back in 2020 - something just blocked it in 2024. My guess is that block was removed long ago since they’ve successfully incorporated it into their 3rd party products, but they’re waiting on the work order/request/whatever from MS to do the work necessary on their default products to re-enable it. Just speculation, but it’s likely not a priority for either team at the moment.

Hi all. I bought inibuilds A340 and installed her terrain data. It works well with A340. But default inibuilds A330, A32N.. terrain still not working. Is there anyway use A340 terrian data for other inibuilds default aircraft and works their terrain radars too?
Feels like scam for me. Inibuilds is advertising a terrain radar, but doesn´t deliver. So sad. But I found a solution. Just use PMDG.

Yes. You need to download the data though.
So it can be done if ini wants it.
If Microsoft wants it - iniBuilds develops, but does not own, these products.

i believe it is a problem of the inibuilds a330 , a320 etc as it works with the fbw and hdwd too
